Colac Specialist School provides educational and therapy programs for students between the ages of 5 and 18 years with an intellectual disability, ranging from mild to profound. Some students have associated impairments in social, sensory, physical, emotional and behavioural areas or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
New families are supported through the application process for the Program for Students with a Disability (PSD). This involves all school-age students requiring a psycholocial assessment that confirms a diagnosis of an Intellectual Disability.
Enrolment criteria for Colac Specialist School is specified by DEECD (Department of Education and Early Childhood Development).
