Family Engagement

Family Engagement involves collaborative relationships and activities between staff, parents/carers, and other key family and community members. Effective Family Engagement is created on a foundation of shared responsibility for the education of children and young people so they can achieve their full potential.

Research indicates that effective schools have high levels of parental/carer and community involvement. Increased family engagement is strongly related to improved attendance, behaviour and student achievement.
Our school Family Engagement Coordinator is Jen Whitwell. Her role is to provide assistance, information, support and referral for families. Jenny can be contacted at school each Wednesday and Thursday.
